The Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance is a four-year undergraduate degree programme designed to provide students with a strong foundation in economic theory, financial systems and quantitative analysis.
The programme combines core areas of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, with key areas of finance such as financial markets, banking, corporate finance and investments. Students develop analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and learn how to use economic reasoning and data to understand and evaluate real-world policy and financial decisions.
The programme is suitable for individuals interested in careers across economics, finance, banking, investment, financial analysis, risk management, policy, research, consulting and related fields. Graduates can pursue roles such as economic or financial analyst, investment or portfolio analyst, banker, risk analyst, corporate finance associate, research assistant and policy analyst, as well as opportunities in microfinance institutions, development agencies and regulatory bodies. The degree also provides a strong foundation for postgraduate study in economics, finance or related fields.
Entry requirements: Five (5) “O” level credits or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
Study options: Full-Time, Part-Time and Distance.
50% Scholarship: Applicants can receive a 50% scholarship when they enter “RBS” under the referral field during their application.
