Whatever role brought you here — learner, instructor, affiliate, or institution — here's every question we get, answered in one place.
RBS is a marketplace for practical business education. Real practitioners teach practical, income-generating skills — anything from importation to agriculture to digital skills — and learners, affiliates, and institutions all connect through the same platform.
Four kinds of people: students who want to learn a practical skill, instructors who want to teach and earn from their expertise, affiliates who want to earn by promoting courses, and institutions (Learning Partners) who want to reach more students.
Yes. Creating an account — as a student, instructor, affiliate, or Learning Partner applicant — is free. You only pay when you choose to enroll in a paid course.
A wide, deliberately non-obvious range — trade and production skills (fashion, carpentry, cosmetics production), "silent moneymaker" businesses (water production, oil palm processing, pharmacy retail), and digital/tech skills (AI, web development, digital marketing). If it's a real, practical skill people pay to learn, it belongs on RBS.
You register separately for each role you want (student registration, instructor registration, affiliate registration, Learning Partner application), but there's nothing stopping you from holding more than one role at the same time — for example, being both an instructor and an affiliate.
RBS is built as an online, global marketplace — anyone with an internet connection can learn or teach on it, regardless of location.
Reach out through the Contact Us page. For account or payment-specific issues, include your registered email so it can be looked up quickly.
Sign up with your name, email, and password through the student registration page. It's free, and no payment is required until you actually enroll in a course.
Each instructor sets their own price for their own course — there's no fixed platform-wide price. You'll see the exact price on the course page before you enroll.
Every course goes through RBS's own quality review before it goes live. You can also read the course description, curriculum breakdown, and — where available — reviews before enrolling.
Yes. You can compare instructors, read reviews, check a course's difficulty level and duration, and preview lessons where the instructor has made a preview available — all before you enroll.
Checkout runs through Paystack. Before you're redirected, you'll see a short confirmation showing the course price and what happens next. As soon as your payment is confirmed as successfully completed, the course unlocks in your dashboard automatically.
A pending or failed payment never unlocks a course. Only a successfully completed payment grants access — if your payment doesn't go through, you can simply try again. If you were debited but the course still shows as pending or failed, reach out to Support with your transaction details so it can be looked into.
No. Once you're enrolled, your access doesn't expire — you can revisit lessons any time and learn entirely at your own pace.
Yes. Once you complete every lesson in a course, RBS automatically issues you a certificate with a unique certificate code.
Anyone can enter your certificate's unique code on the public certificate verification page to confirm it was genuinely issued by RBS — including a copy-code button right on your certificate so you can share it easily.
A public, shareable page that automatically collects every certificate you've earned on RBS in one place — a real professional profile of what you've completed, with your own custom link you can send to an employer, client, or anyone else. It builds itself as you finish courses; there's nothing extra to set up.
Yes, enrolled students can reach out to their course instructor directly through the platform.
That's exactly why the course page shows the full curriculum breakdown, description, and reviews before you pay — so you can make an informed decision upfront. If you have a specific concern about a course, you're welcome to reach out through Support.
Register through the instructor registration page, then build and publish your first course right away — you don't have to wait behind identity verification to get started. Every course still goes through RBS's own quality review before it actually goes live in the marketplace, to make sure it meets our standards.
Yes. RBS is a video-based learning platform, so every course must contain substantive video lessons. You're welcome to add e-books, workbooks, templates, and other downloadable resources alongside your videos, but these supplementary materials can't be sold as standalone courses on their own.
No. You can build and publish your course as soon as you register — identity verification only becomes required once you're ready to make your first withdrawal, and it's what confirms who your earnings are actually being paid out to. This is separate from RBS's quality review of the course itself, which still happens for every course before it goes live.
You keep 92% of every sale — the most generous revenue share of any comparable marketplace. Your net earnings (price minus the platform fee, minus any affiliate commission owed) are credited automatically to your instructor wallet.
Yes, entirely. There's no fixed platform pricing — you decide what your course is worth.
Yes. Describe your course in a few lines and RBS's built-in AI Sales Page tool writes persuasive copy and generates supporting images for you — ready to preview and paste straight into your course page. It's optional; you can always write your own sales page instead.
Your main dashboard focuses on positive numbers — Total Sales, Net Earnings, Affiliate Commissions Paid, and Wallet Balance. The platform fee itself is always available in each transaction's details and in your exported reports.
Only once the student's order is successfully completed. Pending or failed payments are never counted as sales or earnings.
Use the course builder in your dashboard to add your title, description, and category, then organize your content into topics and lessons, with quizzes if you want to test understanding.
Yes. Every course that goes live on RBS is automatically listed in the Affiliate Marketplace — there's no separate opt-in step. What you do control is the commission rate for your own course, which you set yourself.
No. Any affiliate commission owed on a sale is automatically deducted as part of the payout calculation — you never have to pay an affiliate directly.
Request a withdrawal whenever you like. Provide your bank details (or reuse a saved account) — the account name must match your verified identity, no third-party accounts. You'll see the withdrawal fee and exact net amount before confirming, and get paid via Paystack once approved.
Yes, withdrawals must meet the minimum amount set by RBS. You'll get email updates when your request is submitted for review and again once it's approved.
No. RBS automatically issues a verifiable certificate to any student who completes your course — no manual work required from you.
Yes, you can update your course content, pricing, and details from your dashboard at any time. Keep in mind that any edit sends the course back through RBS's quality review before it's published again — even if it was already live before you made the change.
Not at all — that's just the start. You can publish more courses, build out your instructor profile, earn reviews from completing students, and grow into a recurring income stream rather than a one-off sale.
Register through the affiliate registration page. This is free and gives you access to your own Affiliate Dashboard and a unique tracking link.
Yes. Every affiliate gets a real public profile page — a cover image, your own about section, your social media links, and a gallery of every promotional banner you've generated and embedded. Together it becomes your own personal storefront of the courses you've chosen to promote, with one shareable link you can send anywhere.
Instructor courses listed in the Affiliate Marketplace. When you generate a banner for a course and embed it, that course shows up on your public profile too — building your own curated storefront as you go.
Each instructor sets their own commission rate for their own course — there's no single flat platform-wide rate. You'll see the rate on the course's page before you choose to promote it.
Only once the referred order is successfully completed. Pending or failed orders are never counted toward your earnings.
Clicks on your tracking links, your conversion rate, your top-performing courses, your full earnings history, and your withdrawal history.
Commissions build up in your affiliate wallet. Request a withdrawal once you've built a balance — you'll provide bank details (or reuse a saved account matching your verified identity), see the fee and net amount before confirming, and get paid via Paystack once approved.
Yes, withdrawals must meet the minimum amount set by RBS, same as the instructor withdrawal flow.
Anywhere your audience already trusts you — social media, WhatsApp or Telegram groups, your blog, your website, or directly within your community. Sharing your public profile link means people see your full curated storefront, not just a single course.
Yes — the two roles aren't exclusive. You can teach your own courses and promote other instructors' courses simultaneously.
A university, bootcamp, or training institute that lists its own programs on RBS. Students discover the institution through RBS, then click through to the institution's own website to complete enrollment.
Any legitimate educational or professional training organization — universities, colleges, business schools, bootcamps, digital skills academies, vocational centers, and similar institutions.
Listing on the Free plan has no upfront cost. Paid membership tiers are available if you want extra listing capacity and profile features.
Yes. RBS offers a Free plan and paid membership tiers with extra listing capacity and profile features — you can choose whichever fits your institution's needs, and upgrade later if you outgrow the Free plan.
On your own site. Students click your official enrollment button on RBS and are redirected to your website to complete their application — your enrollment process stays entirely yours.
Yes. Your institution continues issuing its own certificates and credentials — RBS doesn't touch that part of the relationship.
Our team reviews every application to confirm it meets RBS's quality standards before approving it. Only approved institutions become Learning Partners and get published in the directory.
Yes, approved Learning Partners can update their institution information — logo, cover image, programs, contact details, and more — whenever necessary.
Yes, institutions from eligible countries are welcome to apply as Learning Partners.
Paystack handles both checkout (for students enrolling in courses) and payouts (for instructor and affiliate withdrawals).
The customer does. When you enroll in a course, a small Paystack transaction fee is added on top of the course price at checkout — this keeps the instructor's and RBS's earnings exactly as listed, with the processing fee covered separately by the person paying, the same way most online payment providers work.
Identity verification protects everyone on the platform — it's what lets students trust who they're learning from, and it's what ensures withdrawals only ever go to the actual, verified owner of an account.
No. The bank account name must match your own verified identity — third-party accounts are never accepted for withdrawals, whether you're an instructor or an affiliate.
Yes. On your next withdrawal request, you can choose to reuse a previously saved bank account or add a new one — as long as it still matches your verified identity.
Yes. Before you confirm any withdrawal request, you're shown the exact withdrawal fee and the net amount you'll actually receive.
Yes — you'll get an email when your withdrawal request is submitted and under review, and another when it's approved.
A failed payment simply doesn't grant course access or credit a withdrawal — nothing is charged or deducted for a failed transaction. If you believe a failure was in error, contact Support with your transaction details.
Payment processing runs through Paystack's secure infrastructure rather than RBS handling card details directly, and identity verification data is used solely to confirm who's behind an instructor, affiliate, or withdrawal account.
Every certificate carries a unique code that can be checked on RBS's public certificate verification page at any time, by anyone — an employer, a client, or anyone else — with no login required.
